The dark, scorched earth crunched underneath Ember's feet as she stalked through the devastated, blackened remains of the old war ground, veiled by the dark of night. The sound of her own heavy breath was all the break she had from it, though the voice in her head cursing her inability to stay quiet did all it could to help against the otherwise deafening silence around her. 20/09/96 – 1:26pm – Ekeya's Temple The skies outside had blackened almost entirely, the brutal winds battering the black stone walls ruthlessly.
